Immediate Past District Governor - Lion Arch Chapman

​

Lion Arch has been a member of the Waterford Hospital Lions Club (WHLC) for the past 38 years.  Over the years, he has served on many committees and has held offices in various positions, including president, secretary and treasurer on many occasions.

 

At the District level, Lion Arch has served as Zone 9 Chair in 1994 – 1995, was best Regional Chair in 1996 – 1997, Zone 9 Chair in 2006 – 2007, best Zone Chair in 2014 – 2015 and best District Chair in 2017 – 2018.

 

In recognition for his dedication and services to Lionism, he has received several awards such as Lion of the Year on two occasions, certificates from Lions International such as Campaign Sight First, 100% secretary award and others.  Lion Arch is a Melvin Jones Fellow and has a life membership in the Lions Max Simms Memorial Camp.  He has attended many conventions, cabinet meetings and multiple District conventions over the years. 

 

On a more personal note, Lion Arch had worked 36 years with Eastern Health in the field of Mental Health and Addictions, retiring in 2010.  He is presently working part time with the English School District.  In addition to his volunteer work with Lions, he is involved with his church, playing guitar and singing in the praise band. 

 

Lion Arch is married to Teresa Fleming.  He has two children and one beautiful grand daughter.

 

Lion Arch would like to thank The Waterford Hospital Lions Club for their support and encouragement in helping him move forward on the District level, and looks forward to serving District N4 as 2nd Vice District Governor for 2019 – 2020.
